Water for Elephants - Movie

Water for Elephants - Movie Adaptation

MUST SEE!

If you read the book, then you will be happy with Water for Elephants the movie.  The storyline stayed pretty close to the book – so I was happy with that.  I guess there were some things left out, some background information on some characters, etc.  It’s been probably 2 years since I read the book, at least, so I didn’t notice the missing information as much as someone who just read the book recently would have.  I have come to the  conclusion that Robert Pattinson actually is a pretty decent actor, just not when he’s playing a love-sick vampire.  Reese Witherspoon was her normal excellent self.

If you haven’t read the book – I recommend doing so.  I loved this book, even more so than I liked Ape House by Sara Gruen.  It’s a bit painful at moments, but you really fall in love with the characters.  I remember enjoying the actual circus part of the book, the behind the scenes look at the glitz and glamour, and while they did bring that out in the movie, “everything is an illusion,”  the part I liked about the story the most in the movie was the relationships between the characters.
